How long have you been around?
2015 was our first year running the camp in Miami, however Girls Rock Camps exist all over the United States and the world! You can find other camps in more than 20 countries and across 5 continents. Check out the Girls Rock Camp Alliance to find all the camps and learn more about the movement as a whole.
How can I volunteer?
Volunteer for MGRC 2024 HERE, but if you are interested in year round or project based opportunities, please send an email to info@miamigirlsrockcamp.org. In order to volunteer you must be 18+ and, depending on position, may be subject to a background check.
How do campers apply?
Camper applications will be released on our website and socials in March 2025 for the July 2025 camp session. Please follow us on facebook or instagram, join our mailing list or keep checking back for updates to stay up to date on all other year round programming.
When was the 2024 camp?
MGRC 2024 took place from July 29-Aug 2 at Coral Gables Congregational UCC. The finale was on Aug 3 at Magic City Brewing Company.
What is the cost of camp?
The cost of 2024 camp was $400.
Are scholarships available?
Miami Girls Rock Camp strives to make camp accessible to all who wish to attend, and no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Though MGRC is volunteer-run and funded entirely by donations, grants and community support, we are proud to be able to offer scholarships when needed. You can apply for a full or partial scholarship within the camper application.
How can I help a camper attend MGRC?
The average cost per camper is well beyond the $400 camp fee. As a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, Miami Girls Rock Camp raises funds and receives equipment donations through foundations, individuals, special events, local businesses, and other sponsors. To make a donation to help send a camper to MGRC, click here. Please indicate that your donation is for camper scholarships and transportation.
